To find out what "Petnik" is, you best have a very careful read through this site, or even better, should come to one of our concerts. We specialize in singing "a cappella", in other words without any accompaniment. All the music doodads are prepared and created by our band leader Honza, who, apart from writing the texts, also writes some notes as a byproduct and then, sadly, demands some output from us...

What do we sing? Well... just songs: those, which we like and those, which, we think, you will like. Those can, of course, be folk songs, just as well as jazz, blues, spirituals, some kind of renaissance compositions or pop music (since the genre mix-up, we call ourselves a folk group). The list of our songs can be found somewhere at this site, even with short audio samples. But there is much more than just music to be found at our site - feel free to have a look around and then choose from the generous offer in the menu to the left or below.

When you are finished scanning through the site, the best thing to do is to come and see us live. Speaking of which - we absolutely prefer, if you rather come to one of our concerts, than if our music is merely eluding from a computer speaker.
